This is a minor issue I've run into several dozen times but am unable to recreate at will, so it may be difficult to pin down.

1) Create a list of items with the item cell blank
2) Copy a block of text and paste it in the HTML pane of one of the items.
3) The text pastes into both the HTML pane AND the item cell.

Another twist to the behavior:

1) I went to the item cell and deleted the text that was inserted when I pasted in the HTML pane.
2) I returned to the HTML to edit the previous text.
3) When I hit "return", all the text I'd just deleted re-appeared in the item cell.  The only way I could get it to stop doing this was to enter text in the item cell.

I guess this could be some kind of normal behavior I'm not understanding but I've been unable to recreate it on purpose.

I've figured out how to recreate it.

1) Blank item.
2) Paste text in HTML pane.
3) Hit "return" in HTML pane.  Text is duplicated in the item cell.

If item cell isn't blank, the issue doesn't occur.

Hi Wayne,

This is by design. Much like MS Word which proposes you the file name based on the start of your document, IQ fills-in the item text based on the first line of the HTML pane if it is empty.
