1- use brand new install
2- open IQ, with sample DB
3- go from item to item, properties pane doesn't refresh.

I just noticed it since I just (re)installed 74a -- was on 73c. (Having the properties pane on autohide makes things a little better since it'll refresh each time it reappears.)

Can anybody confirm ? Thanks

(can provide screenscast on demand)

I have to look more critically, but after extensive use over the last few days, it seems OK,

Just tried on one of my rather large files. For me, it is working properly. I do not auto hide the property pane and I see it refreshing correctly.

Thanks Jon.

Here's the screencast : https://youtu.be/D8cdn3nVmjA

Sorry about the  speed. Something happened in the  transfer and it's quicker than it should.

I might do more testing if I have the time, but the problem definitely happened in 2 different DB yesterday.

Could the pane refreshing depend on other applications running ? Don't think so, but...

Well if you are reporting a problem, something must be amok. My file, while large in size cannot compare with  the complexity of yours, so maybe that needs examination.

Tests were done with a sample file and new install. Maybe something with my system, unless Pierre has some idea of the problem.

Same here. Fresh v74a portable and Properties pane refreshes fine...
  1. What is your setting for Tools > Options > Pane update delay (1.1.13) ?
  2. What about the HTML pane ?, it uses similar settings

FWIW, I don't recall making any changes on this between v73 and v74...

Yes, strange. But it was both on a sample file & new install (as you can see in the screencast -- so the delay was standard, as it is in a new install, etc.) + with my own DB and "old" install (refreshed with ).
Anyway, maybe some app interferes with some grid control ? Don't know, but as you can see, it was clearly happening.

Thanks all. (Happy to see you around, Tom!)
Strange... Will have to find out more precisely why... later. Seems like a computer/situation specific thing.
