As always, not sure whether this is a bug or my misunderstanding.  When I sort subitems, the sort list appears to be affected by text formatting:

Note that un-formatted items are at the bottom, whereas all formatted items are at the top, apparently grouped by type of formatting.  If I remove formatting on an item (eg delete background color), that item gets re-sorted to the bottom with the other un-formatted items.  If I then apply background color to the same item, it jumps back to the top.

In sum, all the unformatted items are grouped at the bottom and sorted alphabetically.  All formatted items are grouped at the top by type of formatting, and sorted alphabetically within each group..

Formatting should have no effect on sort order.  Am I missing something?

Update:  The problem does not occur with TLI's in the grid.  They sort correctly regardless of text formatting.

This was a problem in the past, due to html tags being used to format text, or to create a link, and the tags then being read when sorting.
So you're not missing anything, it's a bug.

EDIT//
I do notice that some formatting uses tags and some not - IIRC that depends on whether one formatted the selected field, or just the text when in edit mode

OK, got it.  It's interesting that the main item sort isn't affected even though the items there also have HTML code.

I really prefer highlighting just the item text and not the whole cell but I'll have to live with it for now.
