I've run into a problem trying to drag folders into InfoQube to create links.  When I drag the folders, I get this dialogue:

At the upper right, you're given the option to show the File Path.  I don't want the path shown, but InfoQube still shows it whether the option is checked or not.  So I get this:

How do I get it to stop showing the path in the link?  I checked options but couldn't find anything relevant.

Looks like the problem occurs when linking to folders.  File links work correctly.

Thought I might be able to fix it with Find and Replace but it appears that works only with the pop-up editor.  At this point, I'm trying to think of a workaround.

Hi Wayne,

Looking at this in more details, this is by design...
You see, you don't have anything in the Item Text box, and the hyperlink cannot be empty (how would you click on it if it was empty?)
So, it uses the path as item text.
To avoid this, enter some hyperlink text !

HTH !

When it's emptu, could IQ pick the last folder name instead of the full path -- like it does for filenames?

Good suggestion !
In v85:
  • Fixed: Grid: File drag-drop: If dropping a folder and the link text is empty, will use the folder name as link if FileName is checked or "(link)" if not
