Situation

In grid # I enter a note
Within that note, I select text to create an internal hyperlink
I find & select the target
the target is a parent w children that require all columns to make sense
however IQ now links to parent, children are present but not columns of data that go with them, making this link useless

Is there a setting I'm missing?

TIA

If the link is displayed in the current grid, IQ will move focus to this grid. If the link points to multiple items or the linked item is not displayed, IQ will open the Scratch grid and display items there. The properties pane can be used to view field (i.e. column) values.

The rationale is that the link can point to items of any "type": contact, task, text outline, etc. So the choice of columns is undetermined.

FYI, an improvement is planned in the column display: Auto-column mode: In auto-column mode, the columns displayed will be dynamic, and will always show all field values of the items displayed in this grid.

OK, thanks, Pierre.  Is it then possible to set a property option so that the property for that -- for example -- if user links to an item in contact grid, that IQ looks @ the form for that grid & opens the form automatically? Is the auto-column mode coming any time soon? It would certainly add to the IQ grid utility quotient.
