A suggestion:
 
that the 'headers' in the properties pane be frozen i.e.
when I scroll down through 'All Fields' the headers 'Item Info', 'Marked Items', 'Grids', etc would remain visible
 
I can see this would lose some space, but I find myself repeatedly down at the bottom of 'All Fields' and having to scroll up to the top to get to something in 'Item Info'

Looking at it again, I can see it would be problematic if you have a few of these open (e.g. Item info/Values, etc.)
 
Would this be possible:
scroll down the pane till you get to all fields:
then, just scroll 'All fields'
 
which I guess would translate to having two scrollbars - a separate one for 'All Fields'.
 

suggestion a long time ago : to be able to split the properties pane into independent sections if needed. Would that be a solution?
(I have the same need : keep some sections visible -- item info, forms, whatever -- while browsing others)
