I'm unable to change the Date filter:
I *think* it changed once for me, but unable to change it after that

this may be misunderstanding of how it works:
after install I was unable to get simply [Today],
it appears I have to first change to [1] (day) before it will accept the [Today] button.

I dont use it much, and usually have it set to Today in the Journal grid, so not used to changing it, but I think it would be logical that: if I click [Today] that is would automatically change from whatever number of days it is set to (e.g. 5 or 7 or 31) to the one day display (?)

Humm, not sure

Today should not change the period. It basically means: Today, this week, this month, this year, depending on the scale

yeah, good point
I have used Date filter very little, and that not for a long time.

And am prone to misunderstanding how things work :D
