Except that Royal & Vista don't show up in theme selection, ergo the reason for my question.

They are not in the menus, but the files are distributed, so using these buttons (or Tools > Themes > Browse) will enable them.
 
I'm not much into themes, and thought that 3 was more than enough.

Pierre! why hide them from us !?!  lol
unfortunately they're not so exciting but it's nice to have options
 
(BTW, I keep mine very plain looking, Classic look and Office 2003)

If in Tools > Options > Program Settings > General : Use Workspace tabs is unchecked, then the UI uses the classic MDI interface, not the tab interface. You get the classic Window menu (tile, cascade, etc). I believe this button will give the list of windows
