'Find' tab (binoculars) and any other grid/s are open.
Other grid has focus

Use Ctrl+F to start a new search:
there is no visible changes - focus remains on the other grid --
surely it should jump to the Find tab ?

(If I click on the Find tab I can see the  search result.)

Hi Tom,

You can assign ctrl f to show the find tab, but currently it moves focus to the Omnibox (which can be used to search amongst other things)

Hi Pierre
I'm confused by your answer: maybe you misunderstood mine -- which also means maybe it wasn't fully clear.
Presumed in the OP was the pressing of enter after typing search term.

1) should I be using something else to search the file ?

2) if I am searching correctly:
what would you expect to happen on pressing Enter in the situation as described in OP ?
I expect IQ to show the search results, which it doesn't...

I get this behavior as well - once you search with Ctrl+F (from the omnibox), the focus does not go to the search results grid. If I manually switch to the search results grid, the results are indeed the results of what I just searched.

Fixed in v98 !
  • Fixed: Omnibox: When doing search, the focus is not always moved to the Search result grid
