 Hi,
I am importing a list of items in a  csv file into a existed grid.

I followed by File/Import from/Non-hierarchit file,
In step 2 I had found all the mapping fields, including and strangely some fields name come with a " [  xxx ] "
then in step 3 , I noticed all the mapped field name with " [  ] " does not appear, therefor the columns imported are wrong ( because the field with name "[ ]" disappear ).

Can tell what does that " [ ] " mean when mapping field ? and how to import items via the mapping of " [ ]" fields ?

Pls see the field "Cancelling date" , and "Load rngs 1" in my attached pics, they are with " [ ]" when I select them in step 2, but they are not there in step 3.

kind regards
sean

Hi Sean,

I haven't tested it, but it seems to me that there could be 1 or 2 reasons for the problem.

1- the destination fields enclosed in [  ] (step 2), are fields with spaces and there might be a bug with that. Maybe you could try renaming those IQ  fields without space?

2- OR, maybe those destination fields enclosed in [  ]  are of the wrong type (not text).

Thank you Armando,
Yes, it works, after I make the name of those field no space.
I did not realized that the name of a field can not have space.
Thank you for your prompt reply to help.

Have a nice day.

Kind regards,

Hi Sean,

Fields with spaces and other special characters are allowed. I'll fix the importer to support it
