Using IQ portable under Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

In the grid, the drop down list works fine. It also seems to work in the properties pane section, "All Fields." It does not work under forms. The drop down arrow is visible, but nothing happens.

I have two fields with drop-down lists in forms that are both working.
Maybe it depends on the type of drop-down list?

Maybe, mine is a fixed list. But the drop down is working in other areas of the properties pane. It is not working if the field is in "forms."

yes, I should have said mine:
both are autolist, but I just tested a fixed list one & it also worked, so there must be some other factor involved

I know this is unlikely but this couldn't be an IQ multi-monitor issue could it?  I just tested selecting a form value from a fixed list pop-up on my computer and at first it didn't seem to be working either.  Then I noticed it was because the drop-down was opening on a completely different monitor.

That is interesting and a possibility. But different drop down lists in other sections are popping up appropriately on my dual monitor system. I did not notice popups from the Forms section appearing elsewhere. Just in case I will take a look at this when I return to work.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Jon, believe it or not, it does work differently depending on the type of drop down list.  I have one drop down that pulls a value from another grid, that one shows up right where you'd expect it to.  However on the fixed list pop-up, it pops up on another monitor.  I'd also suggest resizing IQ to something less than maximized to see if the drop down is somehow appearing off the monitor/s where it can't be seen.

well spotted:
I'm on a single monitor which would explain it working here

You are right! A little inconsistent, but now that I know about this behavior I can adapt. At least this is functional. Thank you for your help.
