It's a small thing but please put it on the right - which to my knowledge is a near universal standard.  Or is there a setting for it in options and I missed it?

Thanks

I'll add a dialog to set all workspace options (instead of the current menu command / tools > options)

The reason for the left side-close button is for uniformity between top tabs and left-side tabs and for when there are tab groups. I could not get the right-side button to display correctly near the group border

Also, both Mac and Linux have left side close buttons...

HI Pierre,

Aesthetically I'm not sure if having the "X" on the left for vertical tabs, and on the right for horizontal tabs is really an issue; it would be interresting to try. The way one reads vertical & horizontal tabs and reaches for them is different.
(An "X" near the border for vertical tabs would actually be a problem, ergonomically speaking.)

Having the "X" where it's expected on horizontal tabs is probably a good idea. I'm constantly reaching for the "X" where it's not.

Hardly a priority Pierre, especially since there is a reason you did it that way, please spend your time on more important stuff :-).  Thanks
