Hi Pierre:

From time to time my customization of the menu and toolbar does not carry over to a new version. A refreshing change was the 109 series. Through all the previews through 109E, this worked perfectly. Not so with 109F. I can re-create my menu and toollbar, but this is a major frustration.

I am using the portable version.

Thank you.

Jon

My customisations weren't lost in the transition to v109f.

I'm using the installed version.

I thought that my customisations had not been lost but on closer inspection the menus have gone back to their default layout and content.

I have accessed the menus many times since the v109f update so why didn't I see it ?  I think I just drop the menu and search for the item of interest without looking at the rest of the menu.

All the toolbars for the main window and the doc pane are unchanged.

Sorry for misleading you.

Hi Jon,

This has never happened to me. I don't customize much however. Questions for you:
  1. Main menu or Doc pane menu ? (or both)
  2. Modified stock toolbars or a toolbar you created ?
  3. Menu too or just toolbars ?
Main menu customization are saved in Users/YourName/menu.dat. If you can send an old one, that would help (contains no personal info)

Thanks

1. Main menu. I rarely if ever use the doc pane so I leave this alone.
2. Stock tooolbars
3. My biggest concern is my menu customization. That is seriously modified.

Sorry for the delay Pierre. I tried to locate the menu.dat file from 109E. I assume you suspect something about that file did not survive the update to 109F. The menu.dat file  I found does not have toolbar customization - only some menu changes - but it does these are not picked up when I update to 109F from 109E. So it should demonstrate the problem just as well. If I can find the menu.dat file with all my menu and toolbar customizations, I will forward it to you.

I will send this to the support address.
