Hi Pierre
I'm wondering why does the SNDB file get a new modified date on each opening ?
And more important: is this necessary ?

(FWIW I'm currently trying to troubleshoot a possible dropbox sync failure -- this is made a lot more complicated by the fact the SNDB file changes its modified date each time it is opened.)

TIA, Tom

Hi Tom,

The SNDB file is actually a MS Access database and due to the native multi-user capability, it changes the modified date on each opening

I'm also sometimes seeing an issue with dropbox sync, whereby changes are not detected when opening the file. When this happens, I close IQ and manually copy the IQBase from the sync folder
Is this what you're seeing too ?

Yes, I think so:
on this occasion I only noticed too late that I didnt see the dropbox dialogue -- and that I should have seen it.
I'm not sure why, am mostly just using one machine so not actually using the sync that often. Will keep an eye on things.

this has happened again -- I am not actually using the desktop much, so I think this makes it roughly two fails out of three or four syncs.

I find a dropbox sync fail a biggish concern:
what will happen if one forgets that the current file is not up-to-date and modifies the file. I know with backups everything can be recovered, but it's no fun figuring things out in that situation. I know you're busy with tags -- and I'm very happy about that -- so I will learn to live with it atm, (but hope that it is fixable at some stage).

Hi Tom,

I found a few issues related to regional settings which may be causes the Dropbox sync not syncing properly.

Try v110Pre7 and report back !
