I noticed that an item was missing from a grid named "Papers" so I searched for it:and got this result in Live Search:

Note that is shows that the item IS in the grid "Papers".  But it's not there.  I searched for it manually and also by grid filters.  Plus it's not assigned to the Papers field:

Plus, "Papers" is not listed under "Grids" in the Properties Pane:

So why does live search show it being in "Papers" when it isn't?

Just trying to understand how it works.

By the way, I did find the item buried as a subitem in another grid.  No idea how it got there.

Thanks, Wayne

Hi Wayne,

The Live-Search does not evaluate all items / grid combination to see if they would show in it, it would be too time consuming.

Each grid just saves the list of items loaded when closing and it is this list which is used.
So if an item is modified, such as changing a field value, it may no longer meet the grid criteria but until you open the grid, it won't know this.

So the "Shown in" column is really a "was recently shown in"

Secondly, the grids listed under the Grids header of the Properties pane are not all grids (there would be too many), but only those that you set it to show
(Grid > Properties > Options > Show this grid in the Properties pane)

HTH !
