I'm continuing to have an ongoing array of ever-changing erratic behaviors.  Some examples:

1)  I clicked on a link to an item in another grid.  The other grid opened, but was blank.  I verified that the link had the correct item ID.  Repeated tries brought up the same blank grid.  Then it suddenly started working every time, even though I'd changed nothing and was doing nothing different.

2) Used column filter to find a subtem I knew was in the grid.  Filter result was blank.  Repeated filter 5-10 times with the same blank result, then suddenly it started finding the subitem correctly every time.

3) I selected a column of items to sort.  I clicked on the sort tool icon.  Nothing happened.  I clicked over and over with no result.  After many tries, it started working and worked perfectly after that.

There seems to be no pattern to anything.  I cannot reproduce the problems and Pierre can't find any problem with my database.  The "fix" usually consists of repeating the same actions until suddenly things start working again.

No one else appears to be having these problems.  Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?  Could another active program be interfering with commands executed inside InfoQube?

Hi Wayne,
  1. Can you provide information on the problematic PC (year, OS, memory, etc)
  2. Do you have the same issues on other PCs ?
  3. You can also try to disabling grid auto-update (manage grids > Options)

Pierre,

1) see below

2) I don't use InfoQube on other computers

3) I'd forgotten you'd suggested this previously.  I'll apply this to all my grids.

I take it you don't think another program could be the culprit.  I run a clipper program and a phrase expander, both of which remain active and will respond to commands at all times.

Thanks Wayne,

In fact, it could, It's just that I don't use any of these, so I have little experience

Missing specs are: CPU model and frequency

Where is the IQBase stored (SSD, local HD, network) ?, on Dropbox (GDrive et al) or not ?

Testing on a "clean" recent PC would be a way to distinguish between bugs and performance related issues

Finally, perhaps try not to use double-click to edit, set tools > options > grid to edit on a single-click (or use F2 to edit). Double-click currently searches for file links and could be a cause of some of your issues

Files stored on internal hard drive.

I guess I could get out an old laptop and try it.

Will stop using double-click to edit.
