Minor suggestion: make selected tab color the same "selected" color used for items, tags, and forms. Right now, the current selected tab is indicated only by bold font, which really doesn't stand out much in a long list of colored tabs.
Not if you've assigned a color to the tab (which is the case for all my most-used tabs).
I do see that if you haven't assigned a tab color that it does turn white when selected. On colored tabs, however, it just turns the text bold when selected.
OK, I did notice that band when I first started with colored tabs but it's completely invisible to me now (ie I never notice it). Doesn't really guide me to a tab because I have multiple tabs with the same color. I guess I'd make the band the same color as the selection color but it really doesn't matter to me.
Making the selected tab white would be ok, though it wouldn't stand out as much as the selection color.
I'd just like the selected tab to stand out a little more to make it easier to find. It doesn't necessarily have to be by color. Changing the text to bold red would work too, or something equivalent, like a thick outline around the tab.
