The latest version of InfoQube doesn't seem to be able to change the format of the text in headings or the font used in body text.

I noticed that the headings of items formatted with the Wikipeed.css style sheet were no longer formatting their headings in the Linux Libertine font.  More than that they are no longer respecting the text formatting settings in the CSS files.

Body text can be made bold or italic but any changes to the font are ignored.

This should be easy to reproduce.

Hi Paul,

Formatting works here, perhaps you can provide more details

Thanks !

Using 112 (Silent Update) :

  • Added Buttons [H1] thru [H6] to ItemEditor Toolbar along with [Style] drop-down
  • H1 thru H4 work as expected
  • H5 assigns the Heading 6 format
  • H6 doesn't appear to do anything.
  • Same problem with the [Style] drop-down.
PS : The Heading shortcuts [Ctrl+1] thru [Ctrl+6] don't work in the Item Editor.

Hi,

I forgot to reply to this, it is now fixed (in v112f or so)

Sorry for the late response but I have been busy with other unrelated things.

These changes appeared with the change to v0.9.112, I did not notice at first because I use the 'Cadman' font for everything.  It is clear and legible even at very small sizes.

All the grids and the contents of the document pane are being formatted in the 'Cadman' font overriding any settings in the CSS file.  I then changed the UI font and that changed OK, it is wierd having a serif font for the UI.  I have now changed all the font settings which appear in 'Options' to other fonts but the text in Grids and the document panes is still appearing in 'Cadman'.

In 'Options' I set the default Grid font to a different font but it is still being formatted in Cadman.

This is true for other InfoQube databases I open as well.  I started a new database called 'Test' and confirmed that it is also affected.

The contents of the Document Pane are all formatted in the same font overriding the font settings in the CSS file and overriding any arbitrary formatting applied to text in the document pane.  If I change the font of a group of words in the document pane the commands appear in the HTML code but the result when displayed are in 'Cadman'.

The grid font is 'Cadman' even when the grid font is different and the toolbar buttons which control formatting appear to be greyed out.

I also get a box which appears in the bottom corner of the screen with an error message complaining about Excessive Loading Times but it only appears briefly when I open IQ.  I don't know if this is relevant or not.

Is there a setting in 'Options' which overrides the font ?  I have looked and I can't see one.

I have found what the problem was and it is not related to InfoQube or the change to v0.9.112.

I don't know how it happened but for some reason the accessibility settings in Internet Exploiter had been set to ignore the formatting of a web page.  Well I can guess how it happened but it shouldn't have affected my laptop and desktop computers.

I didn't notice because I never use Internet Exploiter.

Anyway it's fixed now.

Mea culpa!  Sorry for the false alarm.
