Every time I try and open up the new Item Editor by pressing Ctrl+E IQ crashes.

Hi !

You're the second user to report this. I haven't been able to reproduce it, but I'll keep trying until I can.
The other user had the same issue with the New Item / Clipper dialog. Can you confirm this ?

Just tried a few keyboard shortcuts on 112h -

Ctrl+E still brings up Erase Item dialog.  Maybe I need to reset shortcuts?

Ctrl+N brings up New Item dialog, no problem.

My Universal Clipper hotkey (which I set to Ctrl+Shift+W) has the old problem of not copying the highlighted text to the clipboard - instead what was already on the clipboard gets pasted into the new item - works ok if you press Ctrl+C before pressing the Universal Clipper hotkey.  I think there was a fix for this, I'll need to find the posts that dealt with that.  Also pressing that same hotkey also activates the Chrome Dev Tools console.

None of these shortcuts crashes IQ for me.

Yeah, it was changed... either reset (if you don't have too many custom shortcuts) or set it to the new values

Pierre, I did a test by loading the Windows installer version to see what would happen with the Item Editor. The Item Editor did not crash IQ. So, whatever is causing IQ to crash when opening the Item Editor. It only occurs in the Portable version.

Hi !

That's sort of a good news. It doesn't explain why you had issues with the portable version, when others, including me, don't but at least you have that option.
  1. Is using the installable version a problem for you ?
  2. Once you've used the installable version, can you now check the portable one, in the unusual event that it now works correctly
  3. Also, as I wrote elsewhere in this thread, can you try it using a different Windows user account ?

Thanks for reporting

I will need to use the Portable version at this point in time. I am ok with not using the Item Editor at this point. The Doc Pane is fine for now. I am hoping when v113 comes out that the issue will resolve itself.

Also, if you could try using a different account on the same PC and report back

I had that issue also (portable version), and on a different computer it worked well. So I deleted everything in the Infoqube directory except the license file. Then I downloaded the latest full portable version and extracted it into the emptied directory. It now works like I expected. hth!!

It has happen to me using the portable version on 2 different computers. I am not sure which file is considered the license file. I don't see a file called license anywhere.

Don't worry, you can install it in a fresh folder and see if it works.
I'll send you a license if you want / need one, no problem

I have a license. But I have not activated the license on either of the two computers. Also, I always use a fresh folder anytime a new version comes out. So, I don't think that either of those are the issue. If it works in the desktop install, then it most likely is only occurring in the portable version.
