 The help page for the new item (win+N) window shows 'item text' at the top, and 'doc pane content' at the bottom.
 
When I use Win+N, I get the new item dialogue with just the 'item text' field and no 'doc pane'. How can I get it to show?
 
(By the way, this is my first post, and I hope I'll be able to log back in here again. The 'edit' tab on the 'My account' screen has no fields to edit, only a submit button, so I can't change my password as instructed. So in case I can't log back in, thanks in advance for any replies!)

I have had the experience that the dialogue window showed without the document pane -- I had to resize the dialogue (from the bottom of window) and then it showed.
(FWIW it works fine here on the latest version.)

I had no problem reproducing your issue (I should test the default setup more often...)
 
v112L to be released in a few hours will fix this, but in the meantime, you can edit a simple text file to fix it.
  1. Close IQ
  2. Find the settings.ini file in your user folder (Tools > Help > About > Support info > User folder)
  3. Edit it with Notepad
  4. Find the line butHTML=0 and replace 0 with -1
  5. Save and restart IQ

(The doc pane editor is 'invisible' - just a seamless continuation of grey space, no apparent box to write in, no editing toolbar - so probably not what you want, but it works.)

Ah yes... there were actually two settings to change... Also set SaveCopy=0
(or wait for v112L coming up soon !)
