It would be great if this grid columns box had "move up" and "move down" buttons so that the columns could be ordered from this box.

I'm all for this as moving columns are an annoyance with my setup for some reason. When I drag columns, I can't get the double arrows to show up sometimes. I was happy when we got the tool to move columns except it's just as unreliable for me. I click the "move" arrow over and over with nothing happening, and finally it starts moving after multiple tries. No idea why it works then doesn't work.
These are minor annoyances but they're only worsened by the fact that new columns are always added at the far right, which means in most cases I have to move them past 10-20 existing columns, and across several screen views.
Having a simple list view with arrow movements would be nice.

2. Are you referring to Column > Header > Move left / right ?
3. This will be improved as suggested in this post. Right now, you drag-drop from the Properties pane. This will position it where you dropped it
Good suggestions. I rarely have many columns in my grids, so I had not realized the difficulty in managing these. Not quite you asked for, but this is a first step. In v112p
New: Properties pane: Current Grid section: Use Alt + Up / Down to quickly move columns in the current grid
