Hello,

I'd appreciate help.

As shown in this screencast (http://bit.ly/2W9tdcP), I could set custom shortcuts for changing color of item's text and background, which are working properly (color palette pops-up). Tried the same with text and background color in Doc pane, but the shortcuts aren't working.

a) How to enable coloring text and background (color palette pop-up) through shortcuts in Doc pane?

b) Is there any default shortcuts to coloring text and background?

Thank you!
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

Good catch !

In the next version:
  • Fixed: Doc pane: It was not possible to set keyboard shortcuts to a few dropdown buttons (text / back color, alignment, position)

Hi Pierre_Admin,

Tested and confirmed: there is no issue anymore. Many thanks for the improvement!

Now, highlight and change font color in Doc pane are very convenient and fast by using shortcuts.

Taking the opportunity, I'd like to refer to the suggestion already posted: Hyper-highlighting (improvements for highlighting modes and dedicated colors in IQ formatting toolbar)
Although the suggestion approaches some possible improvements to InfoQube highlighting workflow, I would like to emphasize a single aspect which could strengthen that workflow by itself: a continuous highlighting mode.
The continuous highlighting mode could operate similarly to MS Word highlighting tool:
1) Before selecting text, firstly select the highlight tool in the formatting toolbar.
2) The default pointer becomes a highlighter pointer.
3) Highlight as many text parts as you want without having to click the highlight tool again (distraction free, since your focus is on the content/text, and not on going forward/backward from selected text to the highlight tool, or having to press the shortcut many times, as it happens currently).
4) To stop highlighting, click the highlight tool again, or press Esc.
This screencast illustrates continuous highlighting mode: http://bit.ly/2KzDA7S

All the best with IQ development,
Carlos
