When I open an item editor, if there's quite a lot of text, I noticed that part of the text to the right of the Item Editor is truncated and cannot be seen.

  • Windows display scaling setting
  • Tools > Help > About > Support Info > Screen DPI

Windows display scaling setting

The setting I have is based on the 125% Recommended which is below

Then next picture looks a little blurry because I resized the image after uploading.

I then made another change which is shown below

Then next picture also looks a little blurry because I resized the image after uploading.

The above setting works well as in the screen letters looks crisp and correctly sized for all the programs I use which includes for example Chrome Browser, Firefox, Word, Excel, Edit Pad, Directory Opus etc.

Hi,

Thanks for these information.

A couple of thoughts
  1. Of the 2 "125% scaling" does one work well for the Item Editor
  2. The reported IQ at 120 DPI, was for which case (I presume the custom, but please confirm)
It can seem weird, but on my PCs, Windows does not handle scaling from the dropdown the same as when using custom.
Specifically and strangely, if I set it to 125% scaling using the dropdown, the reported DPI is still 96 which isn't the case when custom scaling is used

The 1st Scaling of 125% (Recommended) - you will notice that there's a advanced scaling settings - I simply clicked that which leads me to the 2nd picture which shows Custom Scaling of 125% which I then apply.

All pictures after that is a result of the combined two steps above I just mentioned, ie 125% Recommended, then Custom Scaling of 125% applied.

After that, the Help about Support info then showed

So the reported IQ at 120 DPI, is for this single case of the combined two steps ie 125% Recommended, then Custom Scaling of 125% applied.

I have no idea why IQ shows 120 DPI, it's strange.

It's puzzling. I'll check around the settings to see if there's something I missed. But currently, in my current setting of single case of the combined two steps ie 125% Recommended, then Custom Scaling of 125% applied, I don't encounter problems in other programs.

I'll report back if I can any other info that might help narrow down what is causing this.

Thanks for your help.

Hi !

What I'm seeing w.r.t. reported DPI is:
  1. When using the "standard" scaling options (100%, 125%, 150%, etc), IQ always reports 96 dpi
  2. When using "custom" scaling (tried 110%, 115%, 125%), IQ reports a dpi > 96 (96+10%=106, +15%=110, +25%=120)
I've now made modifications scaling works correctly for all these scaling

Available in v114o, to be released in a day or two

HTH !
