Hi,

When I try to "Paste Special" a text which has hyperlinks in it from MS Word to IQ, pasting in "HTML Format" works fine while pasting in "Rich Text Format" crashes IQ.

Thanks,
Alp

Hi Alp,

Is this when pasting in the Doc pane, the Item Editor, the Popup editor or in a grid cell ?

I'm sorry Pierre, I forgot that part: it is the Doc pane.

Better yet, I'll upload both IQ and Word files.

Hi !

It works sometimes with hyperlinks and sometimes it crashes.
The issue is with a DLL I'm using to do the conversion, so until this is resolved, I'll remove the RTF format from the list of available clipboard formats.

Thanks for this bug report

Pierre, please don't remove a capability because of an inconsistency with a single formatting feature. I've used the RTF import on well over 100 documents without a single issue and I still have 100s more to go (RTF is RightNote's internal format). A simple warning about the hyperlink issue would provide users with a reasonable explanation and work-around if a particular RTF import crashes.

Hi Dragon,

No need to worry, it was only removed from the Doc pane / Item Editor paste command.

In practice, MS Word and others always put the HTML format in addition to the RTF format on the clipboard
