1) Item55 is a subitem under a top-line-item in its home grid.

2) Item55 gets assigned to other grids and other parents.

3) How can I go directly from Item55 in any location to seeing it displayed in its home grid under its home parent?

The home grid identifier in the properties pane does not function as a link.

The parent identifier IS a link, but doesn't take you to Item55 itself.

Is there a way to do this?  I'm looking for a home link that will display any item in its home location.

Does right click / context menu | "Show in Home View" do what you want?

Thank you, very much!  I wasn't aware of that command.  It appears to do exactly what I want:

1) Goes to home grid
2) Expands the outline as needed to show the item selected, along with all its siblings.

Oddly, it didn't work the first few times I tried it.  It kept opening the item hoisted (not what I wanted), then would lose the item when it was unhoisted (a bug that was fixed previously).

It's worked several times in a  row now, so hopefully its ok.

In case it might help someone: you can also go directly to any parent using the status bar at the bottom of the screen.  Double-click until it shows lineage then click on the parent you want to go to.

You can also click on the parent link in Item Properties but the status bar is nice because it lays out all the levels above the current item.
