Here is a screenshot of five items that have item text but are shown as empty in the grid, nor is anything copied to the clipboard when selecting the item and executing the copy command.
 
 
And here is the the text of these items, each starting with a minus / hyphen:
 
- Zitiertechnik: oberflächlich / nur formal // grundsätzlich / strukturell         
- Textbelege: zu wenige oder zu viele Zitate / nicht ausgewogen oder anschaulich //  fehlen völlig
- stilistische Schwächwen: stellenweise // durchgängig // eklatant         
- falsches Tempus: stellenweise // nahezu durchgängig
- Absätze - ZS-Regeln - Zitieren: formal / ZS - Zitieren: Verwendung, Einfügen in Fließtext - Gliederung - Ergebnisse zusammenfassen / sinnvollen Schluss formulieren - Begriffsinventar Analyse: Erkennen der Stilmittel und präzise Anwendung der Begriffe eintrainieren - Indirekt Rede / Verwendung des Konjunktivs einüben - Fachbegriffe / Stilmittel am Text belegen (Verweis oder Zitat), nicht definieren / erklärenLet
Let me know if you need help debugging, I could start by eliminating some of the special characters from the item text (it might be the colon followed by (double) slashes in the item text triggers some regex match you are using?) to see when the item text might 'return' to the grid.

Hm, if I just paste the text of one of these items into a new item, the text displays without a problem.
 
As these items were all imported from EccoPro, I assume it's something that went wrong during that process?

Oh no, turns out, it was a simple matter of refreshing the grid. Still, strange that all these items share the same characteristics with regard to special characters inside them. Perhaps this does hold some kind of clue as to why such items aren't read / displayed correctly initially?
