This prevents user from clicking on e-mail sender to call default e-mail client for reply, etc.
Solution as reported & acknowledged & supposedly resolved:

If you read carefully, it says that IQ text fields can contain extra characters, besides the actual email and the email(s) will be extracted when you click on the cell. There is no mention of the Thunderbird extension.
 
So... for now, the email is parsed as it is written, but the link will still work. I'll eventually look into a safe way to clean the email before importing
