It's not something I'd use too much, but when typing inline in the grid and hitting 'ctrl-b' for example, it should put your cursor in between the start and end bold tags.  Right now it adds the start/end tags but they're highlighted, so you have to click in between them to continue typing.  You're probably aware of this fact but I thought I'd mention it!  :)

This is by design. This is how other editors work (including MSWord). Selection is retained after a font change. This way you can apply Bold, then Italic without reselecting the text

have you noticed when using the dc forums Pierre:-
if text is selected it acts as you say, but if nothing is selected and you click 'Bold' the behaviour is as Mark requests. It does make life a lot easier if formatting is used a lot. If it's possible, it would be great  ( icing on ye olde new cake )

Excellent!  I probably didn't make it very clear, yep I meant if I'm in the middle of a sentence and want my next word to be bold, nothing is selected and I hit ctrl-b to make the next word bold.  In the latest release if you hit ctrl-b then start typing, your tags disappear.

Good stuff Pierre!
