Merry Christmas, everyone.

I mentioned before that I sometimes find myself typing off the bottom of the screen with the text going out of view as I type.  This happens to me a few times a day (I use InfoQube a lot so the percentage of occurrences is not high).

I was unable to find a reproducible case where it occurs, even for myself.  I just noted that I repeatedly find my text disappearing off the screen at the bottom, and in most cases I can't remember exactly what happened beforehand.

Finally found a case that was reproducible, at least for me.  See attached PDF.

The key cause here was InfoQube refreshing the screen when a new item was created and putting the selected item at the bottom.  When you type multi-line text from there, you go off the screen.

This appears to be the same as the recent issue with the Properties Pane refreshing and putting fields at the bottom.

The closest I can come to describing the conditions where it occurs;

1) Selected item has only a few items below it in the grid view
2) Selected item is near the top of the screen, with a few items below it and buffer space below that.
3) Press enter to create new item
4) Screen refreshes (note: it should not refresh, and doesn't normally when new items are created)
5) New item is moved to the bottom of the screen.

Really hope this can be addressed because it gets pretty bad at times.  I've seen my text typing go off the bottom of the screen at least a dozen times this morning.  Having to repeatedly scroll back up to center the text only to have the screen refresh with the next new item, putting the selected cell at the bottom of the screen again.

Am I the only one having this problem?

This problem is driving bonkers.  The screen is constantly jumping around when I create new items, and I repeatedly find myself typing off the bottom of the screen.

I had text set to 125%.  I changed it to 100% as you suggested.  I think that might be the issue.  Haven't tried it long enough to be sure but so far the screen is not jumping around as before.

The problem is: everything is too small!

So I have a dilemma: be driven crazy by jumping items or have a screen I can't read.

Does anyone have another suggestion?  As much as I hate the item jump, I don't think I can live with the 100% scaling.  Sure, I can increase the font but everything is small everywhere (menus, toolbars, icons etc)

(sorry: post is in wrong position)

Very strange, I used to have this problem all the time and posted about it long ago, but it has not happened to me in at least a couple of years.

If you found a way to reliably reproduce it I suggest temporarily changing two settings to see if either make it go away - windows font setting (100%,125%,150% etc) and resolution. If one of those changes solves it, it will help Pierre know what to do to fix it.

I've especially found that windows font settings over 100% can cause issues with certain programs as can different resolutions. Although 1920 x 1080 is obviously nothing special!

Was really hoping that upgrading to Windows 10 would solve this annoying problem.

I am constantly working off the bottom of the screen.  I scroll up and five seconds later I'm right back to typing off the bottom of the screen.  It's maddening.

Hi Wayne,

If you can reproduce this with a sample IQBase, please send it to me with instructions, I'll fix it

Thanks, Pierre.  I created a sample file but was unable to reproduce the problem right now.  It comes and goes, and I cannot figure out what causes it to start and stop.  Once it starts, it will go on that way for hours or days, then clear up.

If I can figure out how to reproduce it, I will post the sample file with directions.
