At least as an option it would make my IQ life somewhat easier...

This is still something I'd still like very much as I use blank items a lot to make my grids easier to read by giving them some extra structure. When the context changes, I often have to delete many blank items at once and it gets tedious to have to confirm the dialog for each one. Not sure if anyone uses items with blank item text and info in other fields that might be at risk of being deleted when using such an option so maybe it's not such a good idea after all?

Alternatively, if the text of the dialog as visible to Windows were to somehow indicate that the item text field is blank, I could use scripting to automatically confirm the dialog. At the moment, though, I can only read the title of the dialog and the text on the three buttons with Autohotkey, not the part of the dialog window where it states '(empty)' for the item text.

Thanks and sorry for nagging about this.

Possible workaround that comes to mind:

1) Use neutral symbol in your blank lines (eg underscore "___" part way or all the way across the item column).
2) To delete, filter for the symbol, shift-select the "blank" lines, and delete normally.

Pro's:
1) Only have to use deletion steps one time
2) Bonus: you can use back color in your dividers since they're now occupied by a form of text.

Con's:
1) Added steps filtering
2) Added steps to add text to blank items when created.

Not sure if that's a net win but if not, maybe it will prompt another workaround idea.

Edit: could accomplish same thing by simply sorting alphabetically which will group all the blank lines for easy selection but you would need a way to restore the original sort.

An interesting idea, but I do use such background-coloured dividers already. I use the blank items on top of them to group items I will do in sequence and to keep them apart from others I will do later - sort of as a shortcut to avoid having to schedule each item...
