Hi!

I have defined an external editor for markdown, and it used to be possible to launch it from the doc pane using the Edit Document (F2) command. Right now when I click the button on the toolbar, or click on the Doc Pane Menu > Edit > Edit Document, or press F2 it just toggles between View and Edit Modes. How to fix this?

F2 was changed to be more consistent with its use in other UIs. There should however be a button to open the external MD Editor but I forgot to add it to the menus. You can do it though:
  • Open the Customize dialog
  • Commands > Edit
  • Drag drop the Markdown editor to the Edit menu and / or to a toolbar
I'm considering simplifying this so these would only be called External Editor 1 and 2, and it would open the appropriate program depending on the Doc type. As the number of Doc type increases, it no longer makes sense to use specific program icons
