I opened up my grid and typed in the Item information that I wanted.

I then closed the application and reopen it to find that the information I typed in the Item field is gone.

I have never seen this happen in all the years that I have been using the application. I am on the current version of 0.9.116m.

Hi !

It has been reported that occasionally, the item column does not fill correctly. The Properties pane does however show the item as filled. Pressing F5 to refresh the grid would fix this.
  1. Is this the case here ?
  2. Why is the grid mostly empty ?
  3. Should each of these 11 items have text ?

The Item does show the data in the Properties pane. However pressing F5 did not restore the data. And yes all on the Item fields contain data.

Thanks,
John

Strange indeed
  1. Does a program restart fix it ?
  2. Is it just this grid that has this problem ?

No, it is happening on multiple grids. I tried a new IQBase and it was happening on that one as well. Except in the new base it is not showing any data in the Properties pane. I tried 115g, 116a, and 117Pre1 with all of the same results. I tried rebooting my system and that did not matter. I tried restarting 116m and that did not fix it either. It is very strange. I never seen anything like it. Could it possible be corrupt data?

Thanks,
John

If you're on the installable version, try the portable one and report back

In all cases I have used the Portable version.

Is the issue present on a brand new portable install with the Welcome to IQ sample database ?

I have tried fresh portable installs of 115g, 116a, 116g, 116m, 117Pre1. And I tried the installer for 116m. All with the same result.

Thanks,
John

Do you have another PC to see if it also has this issue ?

Here is the odd thing about the bug. I created a new IQBase to see if the issue occurred and it did. Then I tried one of my other existing IQBases and the issue does not occur. That is what makes it hard to figure what is causing the issue.

Just throwing in a random thought here.

Is it something to do with the formatting, like the text being set to the background colour or something like that ?

Just a thought.
