Of course it's possible to assign any keyboard shortcut to almost any feature... But a set of default shortcuts is always nice...

I'm going to post my "default keyboard shortcuts suggestions" here. If others have other ideas... Don't be shy.

ctrl-shift-s : select item
ctrl-shift-a : show all subitems

Great idea! Thanks for suggesting. I'll implement all those that seem to make consensus

one that I can't implement myself and I'd reeeaaaally love is a shortcut key to move between grid tabs to change grid focus.

Same as Excel? (CTRL-Tab and Shift-CTRL-Tab)

Yes, I think CTRL-Tab and Shift-CTRL-Tab are probably the best choices.

PS : to other users : it's possible to use ctrl-shift-o (for the grid menu to appear) and type + enter (when on the right grid name) to jump to an already displayed grid... Or to display a grid if it's not already there. [this could be added somewhere in the docs... maybe I'll do it tomorrow]

PPS: of course, Pierre, it would be great if the grid menu could have the same search as you type functionality as the combo box etc.

I want to start a seperate thread about control and behaviour of grid-tabs

My idea was to try and get grid tabs to act like in browser (in particular firefox with tab-mix-plus extension)
along those lines:

Ctrl+Page-Up goes to tab on the right
Ctrl+Page-Down goes to tab on the left
(that's actually much easier to use than Ctrl+Shift+Tab - I know that's a well known one but could add both or even have an option of shortcvut settings - adding both would be easier I think)

Some sort of open grid [option] as Armando says would be great in default setup -
Ctrl+T could be used for this as well (new Tab)

Ctrl+W to close a grid

Then
Ctrl+Shift+W - export to Webpage
Ctrl+Shift+E  - export to Excel

Ctrl+P for print preview in HTML pane AND in Grid (I think it's just default in Grid)

EDIT/ I forgot:-
Crtl+Shift+C to show context parents
