If you are clipping something from the Web (or wherever), and more than one database is open, selecting as destination any other database than the first one in the list will result in a blank clip: i.e. the "content" section of the clipper is empty.

I should note that this is not 100% consistent. On one occasion I found the behaviour described above did not occur. But it practically always does.

I was able to reproduce it. It seems to happen on the second item in the list of IQBases

In the meantime, you can click on the doc section and press Ctrl+V as the selected text is in the clipboard

So this explains why sometimes my web clips failed... I had noticed that IQ could get stuck, so I often closed the other IQbases if I wanted to do a lot of web clipping.  But having the failed clip be related to the second database opened, kudos for spotting that pattern!

In v117Pre9:

  • New: Universal Clipper: When more than one IQBase is open, pre-selects the last one used
  • Fixed: Universal Clipper: Did not always paste clipped content when more than one IQ Base were opened
