I have an item showing up in a grid it shouldn't be in, and it won't go away.
1) Item is a TLI. No parents anywhere.
2) Item is not assigned to the grid (grid field is unchecked).
3) In the Properties pane, under "shown in", the current gird IS listed, even though the item is not assigned to it.
Things I've tried:
1) Re-assign, un-assign to the grid field using properties pane, form, and field column. Repeat and refresh many times.
2) Reboot file
3) Delete from grid. Cannot because Ctrl-D does not give the option "Remove from this grid only"; only gives option to delete everywhere. Delete dialog shows grid assignments and does not show the current grid (which is why it doesn't give option to delete from this grid).
4) Check grid source (only source is the grid field).
I'm out of ideas. What could make an item appear in a grid it's not assigned to?

Most likely it is a context…
Most likely it is a context parent... Look at child items or turn off context parents

Thanks, that's it.
Didn't occur to me because I have context parent formatting set to bright purple so it's always obvious. For some reason, I turned it back to regular black in this file. Don't remember doing that, but I doubt anyone broke in.
