Pierre, will it be possible or could it be made to be possible to export to google calendar eventually. It would be a good alternate way to sync w various applications / phones etc w/o having the burden of owning Outlook.  It's the same kind of facility as being able to use FF & TB AFAIC.

Thanks,

Same would be for contacts and tasks (todos). But how do you sync tasks with Google, Jan ? (And then with a pda --- palm, iPod touch/iphone, etc.)

True, but give enough time to Google and they'll integrate all of these (tasks are now integrated in the calendar). Google already have APIs for each.

Both Google and Outlook target different users. Both types of sync are required.

Palm Pre already syncs w Google calendar & contacts.  I just think the Google services are always going to be around, don't cost the user any money, work & (as Pierre sez) serve a special market.  I don't have facts but I would guess the Google segment could be quite large.

I don't own a palm anymore, but an iPod touch. Thanks.
I haven't looked into syncing tasks with google. Will have a look at it.
I'm just looking for a reliable way to sync all calendar events, tasks + contacts between apps. Right now it's becoming a nightmare as I enter stuff into IQ and Outlook, and it takes a lot of time to keep things up to date... I'd like to not rely on Outlook anymore, but... It syncs "naturally" with other stuff (and my iPod touch) so I must.
