I want to create a link to a pdf that will still work if the file is moved. I've done this many times before but I can't get it to work now.
InfoQube created a link in the InfoQube docs file. That link works correctly when launched directly from the Windows file manager
But when I double-click on the link in the item URL field in InfoQube, I get an error message from my PDF program saying it's an unsupported file type (or I get no response at all).
Why would the link work correctly from within the file manager but not from within InfoQube?
See attached for link settings I used and the error message I received from the PDF program.

Hi Wayne, If you enable Show…
Hi Wayne,
If you enable Show Open With (Tools > Options > 1.6.16) you'll get a list of apps that can open this type of file. Do they all have this issue ?
Yes, I can open it that way…
Yes, I can open it that way by adding the extra step of having to select the program each time. Why can't it use the Windows default program? As soon as I turn this option off, it goes back to not working. Shouldn't it be able to remember the default program without having to re-select it each time?
Every link I create using the shortcut option fails to open. I have no idea about the many other links I have. I suspect most were created without using the shortcut option.

Update: I created shortcut links to files from several other programs. They all opened correctly using the Windows default program. For some reason, it's not working for pdf's.
I changed the Windows program default to Adobe for pdf's. The link worked correctly. For some reason, it's unable to launch the PDF Revu program. Either nothing happens, or it opens the "Stapler" function that's used to combine pdf's.
So it appears to be a problem with just this program.
