how to whitelist Infoqube.exe so that Windows Defender SmartScreen does not block execution?

When I try to run c:\infoqube\infoqube.exe, I get this message:

Windows protected your PC

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from
starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.

InfoQube.exe
Publisher: Unknown publisher

App:

Run anyway

Don't run

I found these instructions on how to Whitelist an app so that it doesn't get blocked by Windows Defender SmartScreen:

To whitelist an app in Windows Defender SmartScreen, you can add it as an exclusion by going to Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Manage settings > Exclusions and selecting Add an exclusion. For already blocked items, you can find them in Protection history, select the item, and choose Allow on device to add it to the allowed list, as shown in this YouTube video.

Method 1: Add an exclusion for a new app
  1. Open Windows Security from the Start menu.
  2. Click on Virus & threat protection.
  3. Under "Virus & threat protection settings," click Manage settings.
  4. Scroll down to the Exclusions section and click Add or remove exclusions.
  5. Click Add an exclusion and choose File, Folder, File type, or Process. [I clicked "File"]
  6. Navigate to the app you want to whitelist and select it to add it to the list.

I did this and added c:\infoqube\infoqube.exe to the Exclusions list, but SmartScreen is still showing that message above when I try to run it.

I can always click "Run Anyway" to get to IQ, but I want to be able to run IQ without this annoyance.

Hi Jim,

This dialog should only happen when you first run a new version. Do you get this on every start?

You can also try to right-click on the infoqube.exe file and in Properties, check unblock and click OK

How do I ?
