My understanding was that from the drop-down menu I should choose "other" and then enter id #, but it didn't work. Not I did it again and it worked. Sorry for bothering.
BTW: this could be added to the Manual: "For hyperlinks to grid items, from the drop-down menu choose "other" and enter id # below."
