With free-floating grid windows, i.e.: "Use Workspace Tabs" set to OFF, the windows cannot be closed as far as I can determine, only minimized.

(I figured everyone had already noticed this, but then realized most folks work in Tabbed mode, which is functioning properly. )

Great, thanks Pierre!

Since you're in the windowing routines...it seems that after maximizing a grid window, which I tend to do inadvertently, there's no obvious way to undock it. The title bar is gone, and there are no tabs out of tabbed mode. Cascade or Tile can set the window free, but then we've needlessly opened or moved all the other grid windows. (Though there will be fewer, now that we can close them!) Not a major ordeal, but there's a loss of user focus, and it'll generate some support calls.

Unless I'm missing a technique, may I suggest you either leave the title bar available on a maximize, or add an option such as UnDock or Restore to the Window menu.

Oops, you're right. I didn't check it maximized. Thanks, all set.
