Hi Jan

Drag and drop of items uses fairly complex mouse cursor iconography to indicate whether the item you are dropping is going to be:

1) Added to the destination or moved there
2) As a parent, a child or a sibling,
3) and whose exactly..the item above the cursor, or the item below?

If you're not sure of the meaning of the cursor, and how it responds to the movements of the mouse, then IQ's drag and drop behavior will seem a mystery.

I'd recommend, for these types of problems, a copy of Bulent's Screen Recorder. There should be some old free versions around on the web. A compressed video sequence will make it easy for others to see what you're seeing, so we can take a stab at describing IQ's behaviors, expected or unexpected.

I see. In the "Add new item dialog, drag-drop is not enabled between the HTML box and the item box. You can use copy/paste instead. You can also add it to Mantis if you wish.

More generally, drag-drop is not globally enabled. Only for grid operations and in the HTML pane.

I'm not going to bother adding it to Mantis if it's going to be ignored. I believe this was working in an earlier version so I don't know why it shouldn't be working in the latest version.
