Oops!    I have managed to make all my HTML tool bars disappear which I was intending to do just to see what would happen.  Well, right-clicking in the tool bar area and un-checking everything produced what I expected to see... no tool bars.  What I didn't expect was not being able to right-click to restore one or more tool bars!

Can anyone tell me how to make the HTML tool bars reappear?

Perhaps Pierre ought to include the following in his, "So you wanna be a beta tester" part of IQ's EULA?

Try right clicking e.g. on the menu of HTML pane (or is that gone too?) or in grey space -> list of toolbars

No soap!  That's what I was saying... right-clicking anywhere, and I mean everywhere, produces no response.  Could this be a bug?  If you feel intrepid, right-click on *your* HTML tool bar and un-check everything on the list and report back what happens.  If you get the same response I did, this issue may be headed for Mantis.

It appears you were in browse mode when the toolbars were turned off.

I had to restart IQ, then I was able to right click in the html pane.

Then html pane right click>menu>view>main toolbar

That worked famously.  Thank you, Sir!

You're welcome. I made up a manual page -- link to nonexistent node ID 1003 -- and input mantis #785

Great!  Glad to help, even if it was just the provocation.  <lol>

Incidentally, I have been exercising a little autonomy around here.  I have been taking the initiative to polish the book/manual posts here and there with corrections of typos, capitalization, etc.  Mind you, I have been making allowances so as not to "Americanize."

You may take confidence I do so with integrity and if something of substance presents itself, I will surley not take action without authorization..

Is there any reason why I should refrain from continuing service in this vein?

That's great Calvin!

one thing:-
when you do make an edit, it's helpful to write the reason for the edit in the 'Log message box' (bottom of page) - e.g. 'formatting', or quote the changed text if not too long; or if more major changes made: a brief summary.

Usually if I make a change I have to correct it a couple of times (straight away!) - then I dont bother writing anything for the later edits - people can see they were made at the same time
