This looks like a bug to me

Cut ALL text from any field (Ctrl+X)
Paste in html pane
Result:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>

<Root Source="InfoQube" Version="0.9.24" ItemCopyXML="1" XMLCopyVersion="1.00">
    <Items>
        <Item Name="Testing">
            <FID2 ID="2" FieldName="IDItem">5061</FID2>
            <FID28 ID="28" FieldName="ItemTextSize">7</FID28>
            <FID3 ID="3" FieldName="ItemCreated">2009-06-16 17:10:30</FID3>
            <FID330 ID="330" FieldName="Projects">-1</FID330>
            <FID4 ID="4" FieldName="ItemOwner">toms</FID4>
            <FID418 ID="418" FieldName="MyDate">2009-06-16 17:10:30</FID418>
            <FID5 ID="5" FieldName="ItemModified">2009-06-16 17:10:34</FID5>
        </Item>
    </Items>
    <Fields>
        <IDItem ID="2" DataType="N" />
        <ItemCreated ID="3" DataType="D" />
        <ItemModified ID="5" DataType="D" />
        <ItemOwner ID="4" DataType="T" />
        <ItemTextSize ID="28" DataType="N" />
        <MyDate ID="418" DataType="D" />
        <Projects ID="330" DataType="B" />
    </Fields>
</Root>
which I presume is xml format
seems to happen every time here (tried a few times with a restart in between

EDIT changed title to "cut cell pastes as xml" (I scrapped "in html pane")

Comments

Select a single column and then do a copy.
that's what I was doing Pierre - cutting the contents of a single cell (so I guess it's a bug)

Pierre,
this is also happening here if I cut the contents of a text cell and paste it in another cell
(First cell not in edit mode, I have to have second cell in edit mode before it will paste)

So basically 'Cut' looks like it's kaputt . .

Bump. This bug has been signaled a long while ago. Any aknowledgement ???
I can add it to mantis if confirmed (I think there's enough evidence that there's a problem here though...)

This basic issue is still happening (mantis # 762)... weird and slightly annoying.

[edit] and the title of the thread should more appropriately be : "cut cell pastes as xml"... (not just in the HTML pane, but anywhere...) [/edit]

Pierre kept that secret... ;) But it looks like it's fixed.

Thanks for reporting this Tom. I was going to do it just now !
I have the same problem. The funny thing is that there's a refresh after each paste, like Tom said.

Work around at the moment : copy, delete, paste. (Copy won't copy the whole XML structure, it seems)
