Let's use page www.acorn-online.com/joomla15/index.php for this example

1.  select article area & <CTRL>C
2. open new item dialog <WIN>N
3. paste (or alternative) <WIN>C

vs

1. right click "InfoQube Copy Content"

which gets the format right but includes useless data

Thanks for picking this up, Pierre.

Not to appear lazy, but I thought I provided the steps in my original post.

I don't know how to make it any clearer except to say the 'vs' method is copying URL content, i.e. right click / context menu: InfoQube copy content

I've attached pngs

My brain is already in week-end mode...

I looked at the two screenshots and they seem identical (except for an extra sentence at the start of one of them)

They are identical; that's part of the problem. They are the result of steps 1_2 & 1_3
I didn't send an image of the 'vs' method because -- as described -- IQ does it ok, i.e.the text is properly formatted. it looks like the original page (link provided)

Am I crazy? The text isn't formatted correctly.

As in nearly all clippers, copying a section of a page does not look the same as coping the whole page, in particular if the page uses styles sheets.

Ok, Pierre, I'll tell you what.
You give me the exact steps to take & I'll upload another image.

[EDIT : you guys posted before me ! :) so feel free to ignore that ]

Jan : I'd like to help, but I'm having a hard time understanding what the problem is.

There are 3 ways of importing text using the add item window :

1- select some text, anywhere, press win-c (this is using the "universal" clipper) --> add-items appears with content + title in item text.
2- select some text in Firefox, right click on text, select "copy content" --> add-items appears with content + title in item text + reference to web page at bottom.
3-  select some tex, ctrl-c, win-n (global shortcut to invoke the add-item window), paste in add item window.

What is it that's not working in these  ways ?

Appreciate it, Arnando.
See attached zip file. Maybe it will help explain
After this I give up & will move on

Edited 10/03/09 12:52 pm: after program re-start, formatting moved from center to left.... and sometimes back again
Edited 10/03/09 05:21 pm also worked if I shifted to another grid & came back to original grid. Also depends on website as the following website worked perfectly first time out no matter what method I used www.precentral.net/how-to-restore-frozen-bricked-pre
My bottom line: it's kirky here. Sometimes I have to play around to get the result one would expect. That may or may not be an InfoQube issue.
I give up
