It wasn't like that. I think it happened with one of the latest builds. IMO, IQ's process should not get over 1-2% when the program isn't used.

0% CPU here according to Process Explorer

0% to 1% CPU here according to Process Explorer. Nearer 100% of one CPU when first loading, though, which is also quite slow. But I can live with that!

All that will depend on the computer, of course. Mine : Dell laptop, Inspiron 6400, dual core, 1.8 ghz.

I restarted IQ.

CPU is now running lower, not sure why. (I wonder if it could because of some flash web page that I inadvertently tried to clip -- wasn't displayed in the HTML pane though, so...)

It now "idles" at an average of 3% CPU (hovers between 1 and 6). As a point of comparison : Outlook idles at 0%.

I don't know if it's relevant but I think current FF is running w some processing / memory problems. Try again using current IE see if it's the same.

No, I'd be surprised if FF problems would affect IQ in any ways. The HTML pane has to do with IE, but not Firefox.

But I would have to point out that 0% means that PC power is irrelévant really!

and IQ is consistently 0% when not being actively used here.

Could it be something to do with your database - I know mine is fairly simple and smallish, well, certainly in comparison to yours
