Hi
I'm having a problem locating a name in the Address Book with Auto Search turned on, when I type a name that has two words in it, e.g. Win Dor. When I press the space key to input the space between the two words, Auto Search seems to re-initialize (gets ready to do a new search) and checks a checkbox I have to left of the item field.

Thanks
Al

Al, that doesn't happen here. Maybe you can describe exactly what you are doing, i.e. where your cursor is, what grid you are in, etc.
Also I'm assuming you know that if you if activate the alphanumeric filter, it automatically parses your contact list alphabetically. It's quite handy as it's like hoisting, i.e. it'll show you all the contacts that start w a particular letter of the alphabet.

The first figure shows the Auto Search before coming to the space between Win and Dor.
The second figure shows the search after the space key is hit, note in figure 2 the Auto Search has been reset and in my case the column to the left of the item has been checked.

It actually happens here.

1- Focus in item column
2- ctrl-f3 to trigger auto search
3- type a word + space : resets the search

2 issues here:
  1. Resets the Auto-Search
  2. Toggles the first checkmark column in the grid
#1 is fixed in the next release (pre-rel12)
#2 is a grid issue and the supplier has been notified. I wrote a workaround this bug which I hope will work
