Good Day,

I should be able to copy all children without having to first select them all first. At present, I must expand all children which can take several clicks, and then select the entire range using shift button and clicking top and bottom nodes. If the document is big this is quite cumbersome.

Once I select the range, it copies and pastes fine using the Advanced Copy "Tab-indented outline" feature just fine.

However, like Ecco and other outliners I've used I would like this to be quicker. Could you investigate a way to add a feature to grab "Tab-indented outline with their sub-items" feature.

The issue with Selected items and their sub-items is that it outputs in XML which is not what I want to have.

Maybe you can add radio buttons in the Advanced Copy Dialog to choose output: Text or XML and gray out options that do not apply to each setting.

As this is such a common usecase, having the ability to have a default option for copy from a single node would be really sweet and a nice feature for us Ecco junkies =)

You're right : this option (copy all subs) is only available for XML copying. It would be good to have it for "Tab-indented outline" too, eventually. However, it really should be an option -- not a default behaviour, imo.

Yes, this option is a definite must, in the meantime, here's a quick way to do it:
  1. Select the main item(s)
  2. Shift+Ctrl+H to Hoist selected items
  3. Ctrl+9 to expand all
  4. Ctrl+A to select all
  5. Ctrl+C to copy

Thanks Pierre.

I look forward to any possible improvements that your team can implement.

InfoCube is very close if not ready for me to start my switch away from Ecco Pro (finally ;)
