Unclear interface maybe ?

When an item is replicated (ctrl-drag-drop), erase item will only work for the first item deleted (of the replicated series).
After that, it doesn't work, and only one option out of the deletion dialog works (See screencast)

A question also comes to mind : how is it possible to delete an item and still have it appear as an event in the calendar ?

Comments anyone ?

Sometimes I find oddities like this are cured if I close / re-open IQ. Did you try that?
Also try "remove from calendar" instead of delete -- I think it's choice 1 in delete dialog

Thanks Jan.

True, but this shouldn't be...

If some options in dialog don't work or are not supposed to be used in the calendar context, they probably should be removed.

Or, it's possible that there's an other explanation behind the UI and its behaviour. So that's why I'm waiting before entering this issue in Mantis.

Pierre ?

There are 2 separate issues here:
  1. Ctrl drag-drop to create the item (in the Calendar I supposed): This is fixed in 0.9.25pre-rel17. Items were not created correctly
  2. >how is it possible to delete an item and still have it appear as an event in the calendar ?
No, this is not possible. All calendar events must be related to an actual item (but many events may be related to the same item, this is no problem)

it should not be possible, but it was -- that was my point. But maybe are you already aware of that because it was caused by issue #1 ?

(i.e. : After deleting an event in the calendar, the corresponding item (with the correct ID) disappeared, and the other duplicate events (created with ctrl-drag-drop) remained there, while not being accessible anywhere else (search brings no result) but the calendar. Screen cast available on demand)

re #2:

As you say, it was possible. It no longer is possible. It was due to bug #1

Version 0.9.25Pre-Rel18

The problem is mostly fixed, but if you create many calendar items (events), select them all and delete them all at once, one will be left and it won't be linked to any IQ item, and it will be impossible to delete using "erase item".

If it's not clear I'll provide all steps.

I was able to reproduce it and it is now fixed.
