One not that well known feature is that double clicking on a bullet of an item-parent will show ALL its sub-items (it will activate the "Show All sub-items" feature, extremely useful when one wants to circumvent filter restrictions and see all subs). Super convenient IMO.

But with Ecco's "double clicking to show subs" new option, this will likely disappear, which is too bad. Are there any plans to make that feature available to "Ecco users" ?

BTW, the double-click is not related to Ecco (or Ecco style bullets), it is a simple user preference (which I won't use much... I hate double-clicks)

I'd say alt-click ;)

it's not used, and ctrl-click-drag is used to create parent link so it might create confusion

And alt refers to "alternate/ive" and that's what it does : offering an alternative view.

Shift Click could be used for other things in the future. It's used in other apps, and I can see that it could be used in IQ for other types of linking operations.

(I'm not a big double click fan either. But for Show-All, it's ok as I don't have to use it all the time and I also have the (custom?) Shortcut ctrl-alt-shift-a for that.)

I'm with Armando. Alt+click.

<Aside> So good to know that two people for whom I have enormous respect also have an issue with double-click. The problem for me is that, quite simply, when I double-click, I too often get it wrong; I have in effect single-clicked twice... </Aside>

I'll add my vote to Alt+Click

(I draw using a mouse - I remember once having an app installed which counted my mouse clicks during the day - cant remember exact number but it was up in the many thousands.)

re double-cliks

My notebook is 6.5 year old and I can't get rid of it for 2 main reasons:

Its got the most amazing screen 1400x1050 4:3 non-gloss (I hate widescreen glossy screens) (off-topic)
between the touchpad buttons, its got a 4 way toggle button, programmable. So I use my mouse for selecting in the right hand and with the left, the toggle button is used to:
- browser back, forward
- close application
- close window

No more moving the mouse to do these 3 most common actions.

When I select 'Show all sub-items' (either through the context menu or through clicking), my item only expands to the first level of sub-items, each of which remains collapsed. Is this what is supposed to happen? If so, is there another way to fully expand an item to its most buried sub-item? I know of the control+number function, but that expands all items in the grid. Thanks.
