Pre-release #19
 
Open new file with Sample Data
 
but it opens with an error report:

InfoQube

Error opening grid. Check grid source criteria.

OK

I click OK
the Welcome grid opens - blank
 
The source is SQLNotes which, when I look for it, doesn't exist

hehe... Yes, I think Pierre changed the "SQLNotes" field for InfoQube, but forgot to change the grid source to "InfoQube".
So there's no corruption there.

well the bottom line is it's not working - doesn't create a best first impression...

And thanks for reporting.
What I meant is that it was a filter mistake, but not corruption per se. :)

I just downloaded the current version (portable version). Deleted all existing files and copied in all files. I created a new file, with data. Got message "Error opening grid ...". Get the same message every time this new file opens. If i close 'welcome' then every time i try to open it the message happens. Welcome is empty. I notice that Address book has an entry INFOQUBE which i don;t remember seeing before. It appears to have all the info that was in welcome. I might have just missed it before.

Hi,
you need to change the Source in the Welcome grid -
Click Alt+S to turn on the source bar (the shortcut toggles it - in a new file here it is not showing)
 
The source field is the one to the left of the bar - it says "SQLNotes"
Change it to "InfoQube" - without quotation marks - and press return
 
As Pierre says it will be corrected in next build which I believe is out today, or very soon anyways
